Wandering WY: The Grand Tetons

The mountains speak to my soul in a way that no other geographic feature has. Each one seems like a new mystery waiting to be solved, a new story waiting to be read, and a hidden place just waiting to be discovered. The Grand Tetons are a magnificent example of this!

Honestly, up to this point, I've only been able to drive through Grand Teton National Park, but even if that is all the time you have these mountains are well worth the trip. Not to mention the incredible wildlife you'll most likely encounter along the way.

Then there is all of the historical significance in the area from grizzled mountain men to Mormon settlers.

If you love hiking, camping, and stunning glacial lakes you'll want to spend forever in the Grand Tetons. It only takes a few hours to "see" the whole park from the road, but you won't really get to appreciate its wonder until you can get out into the wild away from the beaten path.

Since it doesn't look like I will get to explore the Tetons up close and personal this year, I'm looking for experts in the area to tell me where the best places to hike and camp are.

Where are your favorite places to hike? Where is your favorite place to camp? Have you visited the Grand Tetons? Would you rather visit the mountains or the ocean?
