Not Logical

Updated: Oct 24, 2020

When I first started blogging a few years ago, it was for a college class. I started with trying to market for my grandparents' business that I had been a part of since I was a kid. That lasted a little while, but working full time in a different state while attending college kept me from gathering my own material and inspiration. From there I transitioned into a year long devotional blog that actually did pretty well, but won't win any awards anytime soon.

Taking a break while I explored my career options after graduation I returned briefly to my first blog to share more of my adventures. It was then that I really began to have fun with it! Then I had to go on another hiatus as I set out on my journey to join the U.S. Navy as an officer. 6 months, 1 injury, and countless lessons later I'm still not an officer.

Have you ever been in a place where you thought you knew your calling and purpose in life, but all the work you've done to get there just blew up in your face? That's where I am now.

Now I have to answer that terrifying question... what's next?

I'm not ready to give up my dream of becoming a U.S. Navy Officer yet. However, the road to getting me there just got a whole lot longer. In the meantime, here I am again returning to my passion for writing. I want this blog to be a space where I can share my journey with others who don't catch their star the first time, a space where those who have to fight for their dreams can find inspiration and motivation, and a space we can find that final success together.

It may not be logical to continue to get up time after time when you've been knocked down.

It's just the main characteristic of those of us who will not bow down and quit when the going gets difficult. Our success is found in that we have learned something from yesterday!
