Tis the season for warm nights by the fire with a good book in hand! For all of us who don’t have the romantic luxury of a wood burning fireplace, diffusing a cedar wood blend can give the same warm and homey atmosphere to any space! This essential oil, I exclusively use in diffuser blends. However, it is also known to be useful in helping acne, anxiety, arthritis, congestion, coughs, inflammation, and more.
Historically, this variety of Cedar wood, otherwise known as red or Virginian Cedar wood, has been used as an antiseptic, diuretic, calming, and insect-repellent.
Did you know that Cedar wood is a member of the Cupressaceae or Conifer: Cypress family?
Caution!!! With children always use a carrier oil when applying Cedar wood. Use with caution when pregnant as well. This oil is not meant to be internally consumed!!!
Which oils would you like to learn more about? Do you have a favorite fall blend? What is your favorite use for Cedar wood?
